2. Policy on importing Buddha statues:

Imported Buddha statues are under the specialized management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It is specified in detail in Circular 28/2014/TT-BVHTTDL.

Importing enterprises must comply with regulations on appraisal, content approval and meet the prescribed conditions.

Therefore, when importing Buddha statues, businesses need to carry out procedures to assess the content of imported goods to obtain an import license (according to Appendix 2, Circular 24/2018/TT-BVHTTDL).
