The procedures for importing infrared cookers are regulated by the following legal documents:
- Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018.
- Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018
- Circular No. 3810/QD-BKHCN dated December 18, 2019
According to the aforementioned legal documents, induction cooktops are not on the list of prohibited imports. However, used induction cooktops are on the list of prohibited imports. If you wish to import them, you must have a scrap metal import license.
However, when importing infrared cookers, it is necessary to register for import quality inspection.
In addition, for products bearing images or logos of well-known, internationally copyrighted brands of induction cooktops, you must have an authorization letter or written approval from the manufacturer allowing importation.
