Blood oxygen saturation monitors (SPO2 monitors) are classified as medical devices. The procedures for importing SPO2 blood oxygen saturation monitors are regulated by the following legal documents:
- Circular 26/2015/TT-BTC dated
- Circular 39/2016/TT-BYT dated October 28, 2016
- Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018.
- Circular 14/2018/TT-BYT dated May 15, 2018
- Official document 4658/BYT-TB-CT dated August 12, 2019
- Decree 98/2021/ND-CP dated November 8, 2021
- Circular No. /2021/TT-BYT dated /12/2021. Guidance on the implementation of Decree 98/2021/ND-CP.
- Document 43/2021/TT-BTC dated June 11, 2021
According to the above documents, the new SPO2 blood oxygen saturation monitor is not on the list of prohibited goods for import and export. However, when carrying out import procedures for the SPO2 oxygen saturation monitor, a declaration of medical device classification is required.
