Solar water heaters are also known as solar water heater tanks. They are imported from many countries around the world, such as China, Japan, Australia, and Europe. However, the import procedures are the same for all of them.

POLICY ON IMPORTING SOLAR WATER HEATERS

The procedures for importing solar water heaters are stipulated in the following documents:

• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018
• Circular 14/2015/TT-BTC dated January 30, 2015
• Circular 23/2015/TT-BKHCN dated November 13, 2015

According to the above documents, solar water heaters are not on the list of prohibited imports. However, used solar water heaters are not allowed to be imported. If you wish to import them, you must have a scrap import license.
