The procedures for importing various types of generators are regulated by the following legal documents:
- Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018.
- Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018
- Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018
- Decision No. 583/QD-TCHQ dated March 22, 2019
- Decision 18/2019/QD-TTg dated April 19, 2019
According to the relevant legal documents, generators are not on the list of prohibited imports. The import procedures for generators will be the same as for other normal goods. However, used generators can still be imported normally, provided they are no older than 10 years. For more information on the import procedures for used generators , please see the attached article.
