Lifting equipment such as hoists, lifting shafts (HS code 8428), gantry cranes, cranes, and hoists must undergo quality inspection before being imported into Vietnam, as stipulated in Decision No. 11039/QD-BCT dated December 3, 2014.

HOIST IMPORT POLICY

Hoists and lifting equipment are items that can pose safety risks. Legal regulations regarding the import procedures for lifting equipment include:

• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018
• Circular 22/2018/TT-BLDTBXH dated December 6, 2018
• Decree No. 187/2013/ND-CP dated November 20, 2013
• Circular 23/2015/TT-BKHCN dated November 13, 2015
• QCVN 7:2012/BLDTBXH
• QCVN 13:2013/BLDTBXH

Based on the above documents, the import procedures for hoists and winches are the same as for other goods. However, when importing hoists and winches, the quality of the imported goods must be inspected.
