The import procedures for non-electric cooking pots are regulated by the following legal documents.
- Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018.
- Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018
- Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018
According to the legal documents mentioned above, you can see that new cookware is not on the list of prohibited import and export goods. Used cookware, however, can only be imported as scrap and requires an import license.
In addition, when importing cookware in particular, and food contact items in general, a food safety declaration must be submitted for these items. The food safety declaration for cookware is a self-declaration.
