IMPORT POLICY FOR BOTTLES AND JARS

The procedures for importing bottles are specified in the following legal documents.

• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015, amended and supplemented by 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018,
• Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018
• Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018;
• Decision No. 583/QD-TCHQ dated March 22, 2019.

According to the above legal documents, new bottles are not on the list of prohibited import goods. Used bottles are on the list of prohibited import goods, and import requires a license. When importing bottles, the import process is divided into two types:
• Procedures for importing bottles used to contain food
• Procedures for importing unused bottles containing food.

For bottles containing food, it is necessary to self-declare food safety and hygiene. Therefore, it is necessary to declare the product before importing.
