Import policy for detergents
The import procedures , HS codes, and import duties for industrial detergents, household detergents, pipe scale removers, and automotive detergents are regulated in the following legal documents:
• Circular 40/2011/TT-BCT dated November 14, 2011,
• Official Letter No. 3958/TB-TCHQ dated May 5, 2015,
• Official Letter No. 3959/TB-TCHQ dated May 5, 2015
• Decree 113/2017/ND-CP dated October 9, 2017;
• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018
• Decree No. 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018
• Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020.
According to the above documents, detergents are permitted for normal import. However, some detergents require chemical declaration during import procedures.
To determine the import policy for detergents, it is first necessary to identify the HS code. Therefore, identifying the HS code for industrial detergents, household detergents, pipe scale removers, and automotive detergents is very important.
