ELECTRONIC IMPORT POLICY

Procedures for importing electronic devices are specified in the following legal documents:

• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018;
• Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018;
• Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018;
• Decree 09/2018/ND-CP dated January 15, 2018;
• Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP dated April 14, 2017;
• Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020.

According to the above legal documents, electronic devices are not on the list of prohibited imports. Used electronic devices are on the list of prohibited imports. When carrying out procedures for importing electronic devices, the following points should be noted:

• Used electronics are not allowed to be imported;
• When importing electronic devices, goods must be labeled according to 43/2017/ND-CP;
• Some electronic items must be checked for energy labeling;
• Identify the correct HS code to determine the correct tax and measures.
