PROCEDURES FOR IMPORTING PAPER BOXES

The procedures for importing paper boxes are specified in the following legal documents:

• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018.
• Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018;
• Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018;
• Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP dated April 14, 2017;
• Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020;
• Decision No. 1182/QD-BCT dated April 6, 2022.

According to the above legal documents, paper boxes are not on the list of prohibited import and export goods. However, when importing this item into Vietnam, the following points must be noted:

• Used paper boxes are on the list of imported goods with a license;
• Paper boxes used for food packaging and food contact must have self-declared products;
• When importing, it is necessary to accurately determine the HS code to accurately determine import taxes and policies;
• When importing, there must be a receipt of goods when importing.
