PROCEDURES FOR IMPORTING VACUUM CLEANERS

Policies and procedures for importing vacuum cleaners , as well as other household electrical appliances, are stipulated in the following legal documents:

• Law on VAT 13/2008/QH12 dated June 3, 2008;
• Official dispatch No. 1488/TDC-DGPH dated October 21, 2009;
• Official dispatch 6061/TCHQ-TXNK dated June 29, 2016
• Decision 04/2017/QD-TTg dated March 9, 2017;
• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015 amending and supplementing Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018;
• Decision No. 3810/QD-BKHCN dated December 18, 2019;
• Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018;
• Circular No. 09/2019/TT-BKHCN dated September 30, 2019;
• Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020.

Vacuum cleaners are household electrical appliances. Therefore, according to the above documents, vacuum cleaners are not on the list of prohibited import goods. However, when carrying out import procedures for vacuum cleaners, the following points must be noted:

• Used vacuum cleaners prohibited from import: All used household electrical appliances are on the list of prohibited import goods;
• Imported goods must have labels: Details on labeling content can be found in the section on labeling below.
• Must check the quality of imported goods: The process of checking the quality of imported goods is detailed below.
