Procedures for importing solar water heaters

IMPORT POLICY OF SOLAR WATER HEATER

Procedures for importing solar water heaters are specified in the documents below.
• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015, amended and supplemented by 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018,
• Circular 14/2015/TT-BTC dated January 30, 2015,
• Circular 23/2015/TT-BKHCN dated November 13, 2015,
• Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP dated April 14, 2017,
• Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020.

According to the above documents, solar water heaters are not on the list of prohibited imports. However, used solar water heaters are not allowed to be imported. When carrying out procedures to import solar water heaters, the following points must be noted:
• Used goods on the list of prohibited imports;
• Product labels must be attached to the product.
• Identify the correct HS code to avoid penalties under customs laws.
