IMPORT PROCEDURES FOR FRUIT JAM

Procedures for importing various types of fruit jams are regulated in the following legal documents:

Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018;
Decision No. 1182/QD-BCT dated April 6, 2021;
Circular No. 28/2021/TT-BYT dated December 20, 2021;
Circular No. 01/2024/TT-BNNPTNT dated February 2, 2024;
Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015; amended and supplemented by 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018
Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP dated April 14, 2017;
Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020.

According to the above legal documents, fruit jam is not on the list of prohibited import goods. However, when importing this item, the following points must be noted:

Imported fruit jam must be self-declared and inspected for food safety under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Imported fruit jam must have product labels and origin;
Enter the correct HS code to check the tax code and avoid penalties as prescribed.
