• Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC dated March 25, 2015, amending and supplementing Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC dated April 20, 2018;
• Decree 69/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018;
• Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP dated April 14, 2017;
• Decree 128/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020;
• Circular 12/2022/TT-BGTVT dated June 30, 2022.

According to the above documents, automotive spare parts are not on the list of prohibited imports. However, when carrying out import procedures for this item, the following points should be noted:

• Used automobile parts and components are on the list of prohibited imports.
• Some types of spare parts must undergo quality inspection upon import, such as: headlights, rearview mirrors, safety glass, tires, wheel rims, etc., according to Circular 12/2022/TT-BGTVT dated June 30, 2022;
• When importing automotive parts and components, goods must be labeled in accordance with Decree 43/2017/ND-CP.
• Identifying the correct HS code is crucial for determining the correct tax and avoiding penalties.
