2M alliance reschedules European services due to port congestion problem
The 2M alliance, which includes shipping lines Maersk and MSC, has changed the schedules of some services in Europe, due to port congestion and supply chain issues.

The 2M Alliance - the largest container shipping alliance in the world - has decided to change the schedule of some services in Europe, due to port congestion and supply chain issues.
In particular, the 2M consortium, comprising shipping lines Maersk and MSC, has announced that its Condor/AE7 service will call at Wilhelmshaven instead of Felixstowe port until the end of the year due to ongoing congestion issues at this major UK port.
The first vessel to follow the new schedule is the MSC New York vessel number NR136W, with a capacity of 15,908TEU, and the last vessel will be the 11,000TEU vessel, Eleonora Maersk 144W.
Goods imported to the port of Felixstowe will be routed through a feeder service from Antwerp, according to the statement.
In addition, the 2M Alliance said it will not call at Antwerp on the Griffin/AE55 service and will call at Le Havre for the next five times.
"As the situation at Antwerp has not improved, we will be continuing with the temporary port rotation change arrangement for the next few weeks," MSC noted.
Additionally, 2M Alliance will not call at Le Havre on the Lion/AE6 service for the next four vessels and they will continue to combine calls at Antwerp.
