China's logistics sector sees further improvement in June
China's logistics sector continued to expand steadily in June, driven by seasonal consumer demand and robust growth in the express delivery sector.

The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) said on Wednesday that the country's logistics sector continued to expand steadily in June.
According to data from the federation, the China logistics market monitoring index reached 50.8% in June, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month.
A reading above 50% indicates expansion, while a reading below 50% reflects contraction.
In detail, the total business volume index has remained in the expansion zone for four consecutive months.
In terms of regions, the total business volume index in the central and western regions exceeded the national average.
By industry, the total business volume index of the road, rail, air transport and postal express sectors were all in the expansion zone.
Driven by online shopping and seasonal demand for fresh cold chain products, the total business volume index of the postal express and air transport sectors reached 69.3% and 52% respectively, showing significant expansion.
"In the first half of this year, logistics demand maintained a steady recovery, particularly in the consumer sector. The timeliness and fulfillment rates of e-commerce logistics services went up step by step, supporting the entire e-commerce industry's growth in logistics demand for fresh agricultural and sideline products," said Liu Yuhang, Director of the China Logistics Information Center.
According to experts, the development of the logistics industry in June showed clear seasonal characteristics.
Coal transportation demand remains high to ensure electricity supply during the peak summer season, and trade-in programs have boosted orders for home appliances, computers, communications, and consumer electronics. The summer travel season has also driven strong demand for cultural tourism, e-commerce, and outdoor goods.
Data show that the rail, road, and e-commerce logistics sectors have all maintained a recovery trend.
