CMA CGM in exclusive negotiations to acquire Bolloré Logistics in a deal worth 5 billion euros
CMA CGM is looking to further expand its logistics business by entering exclusive negotiations to acquire Bolloré Logistics.

Bolloré said it has received an offer from CMA CGM for the acquisition of the transport and logistics business of Bolloré Logistics for 5 billion euros on a debt-free/cashless corporate basis. Following the offer, the two sides engaged in exclusive discussions.
“The negotiations are in line with the CMA CGM Group's long-term strategy, based on the two pillars of shipping and logistics. The Group’s strategy is to offer end-to-end solutions in support of its customer’s supply chain needs" said CMA CGM.
“If a deal is reached, the acquisition would further strengthen the CMA CGM Group logistics activities.”
Bollore said that it will report on the outcome of the negotiations in due time and: “The transaction will remain in place under any circumstances subject to regulatory approval and no decision will be made. no sale decision is made until the end of the information and consultation process by the competent agency.”
Last year, Bolloré sold the Africa-based logistics businesses of Bolloré Africa Logistics to MSC for €5.7 billion.
Bolloré is leaving logistics to focus on its other businesses in areas such as media, entertainment, telecommunications and publishing.
