CMA CGM said the use of cold plugs in Shanghai and Ningbo has improved and reefer containers that have been diverted to other ports will now be moved to the final destination. The congestion surcharge applied to reefer shipments to Shanghai and Ningbo has been canceled since March 16.
Hapag-Lloyd also said that congestion at Chinese ports has eased. Cold plug responsiveness has also been improved so we don't have to divert cargo on a large scale anymore.
The German carrier also canceled its refrigerated surcharge for shipments to Chinese ports effective immediately.
