COSCO Shipping Lines has announced a strategic adjustment plan for its JVC service connecting Japan - China - Vietnam, replacing Moji with Kobe, adding Yangpu, and streamlining port calls in the Pearl River Delta region..webp)
Carrier COSCO Shipping Lines has officially announced the realignment of its Japan – China – Vietnam (JVC) service. This route is currently operated by a fleet of three vessels with an average capacity of approximately 1,400 TEU.
Details of Port Adjustments
As part of this revision plan, the carrier will implement the following key changes:
• In Japan: The port of Moji will be replaced by Kobe in the itinerary.
• New Addition: The port of Yangpu will be added to the port rotation.
• Northbound Cuts: Calls at Shenzhen (Yantian) and Hong Kong on the Northbound leg will be omitted.
Following this adjustment, Guangzhou (Nansha) will become the sole port in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region served by this service loop.
Updated Port Rotation
Under the new configuration, the JVC service will operate on the following rotation:
Tokyo – Yokohama – Nagoya – Kobe – Guangzhou (Nansha) – Hong Kong – Yangpu – Haiphong – Xiamen – Tokyo.
This adjustment aims to streamline port coverage and improve network efficiency across COSCO Shipping Lines' Intra-Asia trade lanes, enhancing connectivity between three key markets: Japan, China, and Vietnam.
