COSCO SHIPPING Lines opens branch office in Casablanca
COSCO SHIPPING Lines opens a new branch office in Casablanca, Morocco, to strengthen its presence and trade connections between North Africa and the world.
Casablanca, Morocco, February 1, 2024 – COSCO SHIPPING Lines opened a new branch office in Morocco today. COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Morocco) SARL is headquartered in the heart of Casablanca and highlights the growing importance of North Africa for European trade. As part of COSCO SHIPPING Europe's "Big corridor and 3 networks" strategy to connect Europe with other continents using three networks (water transport and rail, and warehousing and distribution networks), feeder and shortsea carrier Diamond Line, a subsidiary of Cosco Shipping Lines (Europe) GmbH, will play a key role in expanding its business in North Africa.
In September last year, Diamond Line's MV DELPHIS GDANSK completed its maiden voyage to Casablanca on the new Turkey-Spain-Morocco (TSM) service, connecting the main ports of Marmara with West Spain and Casablanca, and offers a quick one-day connection to Valencia. To date, there are four container ships operating on the TSM service, three of which are operated by modern and CO2 efficient 1,900 TEU vessels operated by Diamond Line.

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Morocco) newly established SARL, headed by CEO LU Yuxin, inherits the previous COSCO SHIPPING Lines agent in Morocco, COSMO Shipping & Logistics. The document signing and ribbon cutting ceremony was also witnessed by Mr. LI Changlin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Morocco.
