Emirates Shipping Line opens new shipping service from Far East to Middle East
Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) announced the opening of the new service COSMOS (CMX) and improvements to the existing service GALEX (GLX) with the aim of optimizing transit times and increasing frequencies between the Far East and Middle East regions.

Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has announced the introduction of the new COSMOS (CMX) service and the upgrade of the existing GALEX (GLX) service to optimize transit times and increase frequencies between the Far East and the Middle East.
The itinerary of ESL's services will pass through the following ports:
COSMOS service: Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Da Chan Bay (China) – Jebel Ali (UAE) – Sohar (Oman) – Port Klang (Malaysia) – Shanghai (China)
GALEX service: Busan (Korea) – Qingdao (China) – Xiamen (China) – Nansha (China) – Da Chan Bay (China) – Port Klang (Malaysia) – Jebel Ali (UAE) – Dammam ( Saudi Arabia) – Khor Fakkan (UAE) – Busan (South Korea)
ESL says these services combined will significantly reduce transit times from East Asia to the Middle East and improve overall service frequency.
With the addition of CMX services, the airline now offers nine services via Jebel Ali, providing access to major ports in the Indian Subcontinent and Africa. The CMX service marks the airline's second from Central China and third from South China to the Middle East.
Furthermore, the improved GLX service itineraries will benefit customers in the Upper Gulf, Red Sea and Africa, ensuring reduced transit times to major ports in Asia via Jebel Ali, according to ESL statement.
