Etihad Cargo Reports Positive H1 2025 Performance with 9% Revenue Growth
Etihad Cargo announces H1 2025 results with a 9% rise in revenue, driven by a focus on premium products, fleet expansion, and enhanced strategic partnerships, particularly with China's SF Airlines.

Etihad Cargo, the logistics division of Etihad Airways, has just announced impressive operational performance across all its markets for the first half of 2025, underscoring the airline's agility and resilience in a dynamic global landscape.
Positive performance was recorded across all regions compared to the same period last year, with total cargo revenue increasing by 9%, reflecting growth in both offered capacity and yield.
Stanislas Brun, Vice President Cargo at Etihad Airways, said: “These results demonstrate that Etihad Cargo is delivering sustainable performance by focusing on premium products, agile network planning and close partnerships with our customers. Adaptability and customer-centricity remain central to our success.”
Etihad Cargo's agile e-commerce strategy has helped support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local businesses, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's role as a regional hub for logistics and digital trade.
Fleet Expansion & Enhanced Partnerships
To meet growing demand, Etihad Cargo has bolstered its fleet with the delivery of an additional Boeing 777 freighter from Atlas Air, providing increased capacity and flexibility across its network.
The airline has also deepened its strategic partnership with China's SF Airlines, establishing a highly integrated Joint Business Agreement (JBA) that allows both parties to combine operations and capacity on key trade corridors. This agreement has resulted in the launch of a weekly Shenzhen–Abu Dhabi freighter service and increased frequencies on the Abu Dhabi–Ezhou route, bringing the total weekly capacity between the two carriers to approximately 630 tonnes.
Network Expansion and Improved Reliability
Through continuous improvements in service reliability, Etihad Cargo achieved an 89.6% year-on-year improvement in its Delivered As Promised (DAP) rate.
The carrier's global capacity increased by 8% year-on-year, supported by the addition of belly hold and dedicated freighter flights, including new routes and redeployed capacity in high-demand markets. Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport continues to serve as a strategic hub, strengthening the UAE's position as a global gateway for express and e-commerce flows.
