GEODIS Acquires Malherbe: Cementing Top 3 Status in France
GEODIS has signed an agreement to acquire Malherbe, a leading French Full Truckload (FTL) operator. The deal is projected to boost consolidated road transport revenue to €2 billion, cementing a Top 3 market position and strengthening capabilities in the agri-food and retail sectors.

GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, has officially signed an agreement to acquire Malherbe, one of the most prominent names in the Full Truckload (FTL) sector in France. This strategic move aims to expand GEODIS's national network and strengthen its presence in key sectors such as agri-food and mass retail.
The integration of Malherbe will enhance network density and service quality across France. Simultaneously, this transaction positions GEODIS as a key player in the transition toward decarbonized road transport. Upon completion, the deal is expected to propel GEODIS into the top three providers of FTL and Less-than-Truckload (LTL) services in the country, with total consolidated revenue reaching €2 billion.
Strategic Vision for Sustainability and Autonomy
Commenting on the significance of this acquisition, Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of GEODIS, stated: “Integrating Malherbe is a strategic step to build a more resilient and sustainable nationwide network. Together, we will deliver operational excellence, environmental performance, and strategic autonomy in logistics.”
Malherbe’s Profile and Environmental Commitment
Founded in 1956, Malherbe currently operates through 40 branches across France. The company owns a fleet of approximately 1,500 trucks and employs over 3,300 staff nationwide.
Notably, since 2024, Malherbe has deployed an energy diversification program, implementing scheduled fleet electrification and installing charging infrastructure, which aligns perfectly with GEODIS's sustainability goals.
The acquisition will be officially finalized subject to customary regulatory approvals.
