HMM Restructures its Asia-North America Service Network: Suspends PS5 Service, Adjusts Several Others

South Korean carrier Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) has just announced it will implement a series of adjustments to its services connecting Asia and North America, with the changes taking effect from October 2025. These modifications include the suspension of one service and revised schedules for several others.
Below are the detailed adjustments:
• PS5 (Pacific South Loop 5) Service: This service will be temporarily suspended until further notice. The final voyage for this loop was the NYK CONSTELLATION 0105E/W, which departed from Qingdao on September 1, 2025.
• PS4 (Pacific South Loop 4) Service: The rotation will be adjusted to add a port call in Ningbo while omitting the call in Xiamen. Cargo from Xiamen will be shifted to be served on the PS7 service. The first voyage on the new rotation will be the YM UNIFORM 0244E/W, scheduled to depart from Yantian on October 5, 2025.
• PS6 (Pacific South Loop 6) Service: This service will expand its coverage by adding a port call in Qingdao. The first vessel to implement this change is the HMM TOPAZ 0008E/W, departing from Qingdao on September 27, 2025.
• FP2 (Far East Pacific North Loop 2) Service: The service will be modified to include a port call in Busan. This change will begin with the ONE CYGNUS 0022E/W, scheduled to depart from Singapore on September 29, 2025.
• EC2 (US East Coast Loop 2) Service: This service will add Norfolk to its port rotation. The first voyage on the updated schedule will be the ONE BLUE JAY 0039E/W, departing from Xiamen on October 7, 2025.
