Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd Launch New Service from China to the US
Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd have partnered to launch a new TP9 Trans-Pacific service, connecting East Asia to Long Beach, promising to increase flexibility and stability for the supply chain.

The world's two leading shipping lines, A.P. Moller-Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd, have announced the launch of a new TP9 service under the Gemini Partnership, focusing on Trans-Pacific routes.
The new service will connect East China Sea (China) and Northeast Asia to the port of Long Beach (USA). Notably, the TP9 service offers a direct connection from Busan to Long Beach with a transit time of 14 days, and another direct connection from Xiamen to Long Beach with a transit time of 18 days.
The TP9 service is designed to complement the two carriers’ existing Trans-Pacific services and aims to strengthen the stability and resilience of the supply chain through increased flexibility and improved reliability. The route of operation is determined in the following order: Xiamen – Busan – Long Beach – Xiamen.
