Maersk Resumes Services to Port of Haifa Following Ceasefire
Maersk has announced the resumption of services to the Port of Haifa (Israel) following a positive assessment of the ceasefire agreement, bringing hope for stability to shipping operations in the region.

Global shipping company Maersk has announced the resumption of sailings and cargo handling at the Port of Haifa, Israel, starting from 30 June 2025. The decision comes after the company assessed the prospects for de-escalation following the current ceasefire agreement in the region.
Maersk had previously temporarily suspended operations at the Port of Haifa due to escalating tensions in the Middle East affecting operations involving Iran and Israel. The resumption of services demonstrates the company's confidence in minimizing security risks to its operations and crew.
“With the prospect of current cease-fire agreement bringing de-escalation to the conflict, we have decided to resume vessel calls to the Port of Haifa, and acceptance for both import and export cargo is now open,” Maersk said in a statement. “We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will be ready to make changes if safety concerns reappear.”
The acceptance of imports to the Port of Haifa has been reopened as of June 25, 2025. Vessels scheduled to call at Haifa will resume their normal calls starting Monday, June 30.
Maersk also announced that the situation and operations at the Port of Ashdod remain unchanged, although the company continues to closely monitor the latest developments and maritime advisories.
The company is committed to the safety of its crew and operations as its top priority, while emphasizing its utmost efforts to minimize the impact on its customers’ supply chains.
