MSC renames Bolloré Africa Logistics to Africa Global Logistics (AGL)
MSC completed the acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics in December 2022 and after three months decided to change its brand name to Africa Global Logistics (AGL).

Bolloré Africa Logistics (BAL), a multimodal logistics service provider in Africa, has revealed its new name. The new company name will be called AGL, which stands for Africa Global Logistics.
MSC completed the acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics in December 2022 and after three months decided to change its brand name.
AGL will operate as an independent entity and part of the freight division at MSC.
With the strength of logistics services in Africa, from warehousing and cold storage to other logistics solutions, AGL is expected to support MSC and all other shipping lines with efficient container terminals, as well as efficient multipurpose terminals and rail operations.
"This new brand reinforces our ambition to be a trusted logistics partner for our customers in Africa and around the world while underlining our commitment to innovate and participate alongside Africa’s states and partners in the transformation of the continent," said Phillipe Labonne, president of AGL.
AGL operates more than 250 freight and logistics companies, as well as 22 port and rail concessions, 66 dry ports and two river terminals, and employs 21,000 people across 49 countries.
