Sea-Intelligence: July 2025 Global Schedule Reliability Dips for First Time After 5 Straight Months of Gains
The latest report from Sea-Intelligence shows that global vessel schedule reliability fell for the first time month-on-month since the start of the year in July 2025, while the Gemini Cooperation continues to lead with impressive performance..webp)

Maritime analysis firm Sea-Intelligence has just published issue 168 of its Global Liner Performance (GLP) report, with schedule reliability figures through July 2025.
According to the report, global schedule reliability saw its first month-on-month (M/M) decline since January 2025 in July. Specifically, the index fell by 2.2 percentage points compared to June, down to 65.2%. However, when compared year-on-year (Y/Y), schedule reliability was still 13.0 percentage points higher.
Furthermore, the average delay for late vessel arrivals also worsened, increasing by 0.14 days month-on-month to 4.68 days.
Among the carriers, Maersk continued to be the most reliable of the top 13 with a schedule reliability of 80.6%, followed by Hapag-Lloyd at 74.0%. The next six carriers had ratings between 60%-70%, with the remainder in the 50%-60% range. HMM was the least reliable carrier in July 2025 with a rating of just 50.7%.
Alliance Performance: Gemini Cooperation Leads by a Wide Margin
Sea-Intelligence continues to use two methods to measure the performance of the new alliances: "All arrivals" (which includes all port calls, including the port of origin) and "Trade arrivals" (which only includes port calls in the destination region, similar to the old methodology).
During the June-July 2025 period, the alliances recorded the following results:
• Gemini Cooperation led with outstanding performance, achieving 92.0% on the "All arrivals" index and 89.6% on the "Trade arrivals" index.
• MSC came in second with 76.5% ("All arrivals") and 76.2% ("Trade arrivals").
• Ocean Alliance (the former alliance) scored 69.4%.
• Premier Alliance recorded 54.6% ("All arrivals") and 54.8% ("Trade arrivals").
