Ukraine's ports shut down after Russia's attack
Vessels and commercial operations are advised to avoid all activities and transits within the exclusive economic zones (EEZs) of Russia and Ukraine in the Black Sea at this time.

On the morning of 24 February, Russian forces are said to have begun operations inside Ukraine, which are understood to include blocking access to the Sea of Azov.
According to the maritime security firm, Dryad Global, all commercial activities at Ukrainian seaports have been suspended by order of the Ukrainian military.
"Any vessel currently within Ukrainian Ports should seek to leave immediately if deemed safe to do so. Vessels should ensure they are broadcasting on AIS and clearly state their intentions across VHF. Any vessels challenged by military Russian military vessels should comply fully with instructions," reported Dryad Global.
At this time, Dryad Global advises all commercial operations to avoid any transit or activity within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Ukraine or Russia in the Black Sea, while commercial operations in the The EEZs of Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania remained unaffected at the time of reporting.
As the situation evolves, there remains a high degree of uncertainty regarding freedom of navigation throughout the wider Black Sea.
"Vessels and commercial operators are reminded to avoid all operations and transit within the EEZ of Russia and Ukraine at this time. No attempt should be made to access the Sea of Azov," pointed out the maritime security company .
Dryad Global says that Russia is said to have no intention of targeting any civilian or foreign ships through military action.
At the same time, on 15 February, the Joint War Committee added the Ukrainian and Russian Seas of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov to the Hull war, Piracy, Terrorism and Related Perils Listed Areas.
