Updated shipping information of THE Alliance in the 3rd quarter of 2020
THE Alliance will continue to merge the two services on its Asia-North Europe trade route in the third quarter, when it announces blanked sailings and service is suspended in July.
THE Alliance includes container shipping lines: Hapag-Lloyd, HMM, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Yang Ming, said their FE4 and FE2 services will continue to be consolidated until the end of September. 2020. The FE2 service will continue with a combined service on the Cape of Good Hope, rather than the shorter route via the Suez Canal.
The FE2 rotation is as follows: Pusan - Shanghai - Ningbo - Yantian - Singapore - (Suez) - Rotterdam - Southampton - Le Havre - Hamburg - Rotterdam - (Cape of Good Hope) - Singapore - Pusan.
The Alliance's FE3 service will be expanded to reach Central China ports from July to September.
The FE3 rotation is as follows: Ningbo - Shanghai - Xiamen - Kaohsiung - Hong Kong - Yantian - (Suez) - Rotterdam - Hamburg - Antwerp - London Gateway - (Suez) - Jebel Ali - Singapore - Yantian - Hong Kong - Kaohsiung - Ningbo.
In July, on the Asia - Mediterranean service, five sailings will be blanked and on the Trans - Pacific, Asia - US West Coast service, about 11 sailings will be blanked. PS5 services across the transpacific will remain suspended in July.
On the transpacific service to the US East Coast, EC1 and EC3 services were still incorporated in July, but the THE Alliance said this could change.
On the Asia - Middle East service, AG1 service will still be integrated into AG3 service in July. THE Alliance will also blank two sailings on its Asia-India service and five sailings on the transatlantic service in July.
“THE Alliance will continue to closely monitor the latest market situation during the Covid-19 pandemic and provide updates on any necessary service changes. The affected services are expected to resume normal operations once market conditions improve,” the member lines said.
