Wan Min appointed Chairman of COSCO Shipping
China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation has announced the decision to change its main responsible personnel; Mr. Wan Min is appointed Chairman cum Secretary of the Party Committee of the Corporation; Mr. Xu Lirong retired.

On November 1, 2021, China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation held a conference of mid-level managers and above. The company has announced its decision to change its key personnel.
Mr. Wan Min was appointed Chairman and Party Secretary of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation; Mr. Xu Lirong stepped down as Chairman and Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING China Corporation. The appointment and dismissal of relevant titles shall be made in accordance with relevant laws and articles of association.

Mr. Xu Lirong, born in July 1957, is from Yancheng, Jiangsu province. He used to be a merchant ship captain, holds a senior engineering degree and an MBA from Shanghai Maritime University. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (COSCO SHIPPING)
Xu Lirong has been awarded the National Labor Day Medal, Top 10 Outstanding Figures in China's Marine Industry in 2016, BIMCO President's Award, the Seatrade International Maritime 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award, and many other honors. At the conference celebrating the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up, he also awarded the honorary title of "Reform Pioneer" by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
