ZIM Updates Trans-Pacific Network

Israeli container shipping line ZIM has announced new network updates from Asia to the US East Coast (USEC) and the US Gulf, effective from February 2025.
The ZXB service will add a new stop - the port of Boston, providing a more optimal connection between Asia and the US East Coast with faster transit times and wider coverage. This will be the only direct service connecting Asia to Boston.
ZIM emphasizes that the ZXB service will offer the fastest transit times in the market from Cai Mep to Charleston and Savannah, strong connectivity from southern China and Vietnam to the US East Coast, and direct connectivity from southern China and Vietnam to Jacksonville.
The new updated ZXB route is: Singapore – Cai Mep – Hai Phong – Yantian – Panama Canal – Cartagena – Charleston – Savannah – Jacksonville – New York – Boston – Suez Canal – Singapore.
The port of Baltimore, previously served on this route, will be served by two other ZIM services: Z7S (ZIM Seven Stars), serving Southeast Asia and Southern China, and ZNS (ZIM North Star), serving Northern China and South Korea.
The Z7S service will also add a new stop at Colombo on the return journey, providing additional flexibility for customers. The new updated Z7S route will be: Singapore – Laem Chabang – Yantian – Cai Mep – Singapore – Suez Canal – New York – Baltimore – Norfolk – Suez Canal – Colombo – Singapore.
In addition, the ZIM Gulf Central China Express (ZGX) service will add a new stop at Pusan on the return journey, enhancing its network coverage. ZGX's new updated itinerary will be: Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Panama Canal – Mobile – Houston – New Orleans – Miami – Freeport – Panama Canal – Rodman – Pusan – Ningbo.
