5. Port of Brisbane (Australia)
The Port of Brisbane (Brisbane Port) is located on the east coast of Australia at the mouth of the Brisbane River, approximately 220 km north of Port Yamba and 235 km south of Port Maryborough.
The Port of Brisbane has 27 berths with a total length of more than 7.7 metres at both the main Port of Brisbane location and at upstream facilities. The Port of Brisbane includes six container handling berths, five oil berths, five general cargo and motor vehicle berths.
The Port of Brisbane also has two chemical and fertilizer handling berths, two liquid bulk berths and two suitable berths at the Forgacs Cairncross terminals. The Port of Brisbane has one berth for each of the following cargo types: grain, woodchips and cottonseed; grain, bulk and breakbulk; clinker; coal and clinker; sugar, and cruise ships.
The Port of Brisbane container terminals have six berths with a total length of 1437 metres. The terminals are leased to two national stevedoring companies. DP World Brisbane operates Berths 4 to 6, which have extensive cargo handling equipment including a number of Panamax, post-Panamax and super post-Panamax gantry cranes. Patrick operates Berths 7 to 9. The Port of Brisbane Corporation owns the berths and provides the majority of the permanent improvements at the container terminals.
The Port of Brisbane’s general cargo berths are 697 metres in length and handle a mix of cargo, containers and motor vehicles. The general cargo berth is extended by 50 metres to accommodate pure car carriers when required. The dry bulk berths at the Port of Brisbane have some dedicated berths and others are general purpose berths.
The Port of Brisbane has two refineries, each with one berth used for crude oil imports and one for refined product exports. Neumann and Shell Petroleum Terminals also handle refined petroleum products through the Port of Brisbane.

- O/F (Ocean Freight)
Ocean freight is the amount that the charterer has to pay to the shipping line or freight forwarding company for the carriage to bring the goods to the destination and ready to deliver to the consignee.
- Documentation fee:
Documentary fees are collected by the shipping line/forwarding company when issuing documents relating to the shipment being shipped.
- B/L (Bill of Lading) fee:
B/L fee is a Bill of lading issuance fee, which is collected by the carrier being a shipping line or a freight forwarding company. - Handling fee:

- THC (Terminal Handling Charge)
