5. Port of Mumbai (India)
The Port of Mumbai (Mumbai Port), formerly Bombay, is a deep natural harbour on the northwestern coast of India, just six nautical miles west of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port at Nhava Sheva and about 432 nautical miles south-southeast of the Kandla Port. Mumbai is also one of the world's largest metropolitan cities, with the suburbs of Navi Mumbai and Thane, the Mumbai Port metropolitan area with a population of about 19 million is the fifth most populous in the world.
The main imports through the Port of Mumbai were crude oil (12.7 million tonnes), miscellaneous goods (4.2 million tonnes), POL products (3.4 million tonnes) and iron and steel (2.8 million tonnes). Other imports included bulk chemicals, containers, edible oils, rock phosphate, fertilizers and sulphur. Container imports were 627.3 thousand tonnes and 71.7 thousand TEU.
The main exports of Mumbai Port were crude oil (13.7 million tonnes), POL products (7.2 million tonnes), iron and steel (1.3 million tonnes), containers (886 thousand tonnes), miscellaneous goods (647 thousand tonnes), sugar (587 thousand tonnes), and bulk chemicals (102 thousand tonnes). Other exports included molasses, oil cakes, edible oils, and food grains. Container exports were 763.4 thousand tonnes, equivalent to 45.8 thousand TEUs.
With a natural deep-water harbor covering 400 square kilometers, Mumbai Port is protected by the mainland to the east and Mumbai Island to the west. Mumbai Port has a total area of 46.3 hectares, a total berth length of 7.8 thousand meters, and 63 berthing points. Pilotage is required for vessels of 100 tonnes and above entering and leaving the port. Mumbai Port consists of three closed wet terminals: Prince Terminal, Victoria Terminal, and Indira Terminal. Prince and Victoria are both semi-tidal terminals.
Prince Terminal is the oldest terminal, with 8 berths and a depth of 6.4 metres.
Victoria Terminal was commissioned in 1888, with 14 berths and a depth of 6.7 metres.
Indira Terminal is the smallest terminal, commissioned in 1914, with a 228.6 metre long, 30.5 metre wide approach channel with a total of 26 berths (21 inside the basin and 5 on the quay wall).

- O/F (Ocean Freight)
Ocean freight is the amount that the charterer has to pay to the shipping line or freight forwarding company for the carriage to bring the goods to the destination and ready to deliver to the consignee.
- Documentation fee:
Documentary fees are collected by the shipping line/forwarding company when issuing documents relating to the shipment being shipped.
- B/L (Bill of Lading) fee:
B/L fee is a Bill of lading issuance fee, which is collected by the carrier being a shipping line or a freight forwarding company. Bill of lading (commonly referred to as a Bill) issued by the carrier or his representative to the shipper as proof that the carrier has received the goods and undertakes the carriage from the place of destination. to the destination for delivery to the consignee.
- Handling fee:
A handling fee is an agent fee for tracking the delivery and transportation of goods as well as declaring the manifest with the customs office before the ship arrives at the port.
- THC (Terminal Handling Charge)
